Our Governors

Our Governors are all members of our Polaris Central Services teams. We establish this focussed group of expertise to offer support and challenge to our ‘on the ground’ school leaders. Members of our Proprietary body attend the Governors meetings and also receive information from them which enables them to have a much clearer oversight of the work of the individual schools.

Governors are responsible for supporting the management side of a school: strategy, policy, budgeting and staffing. They enable their school to run as effectively as possible, working alongside senior leaders and supporting teachers to provide excellent education to children.

As our schools grow, we hope to establish external Governors who will offer a different perspective on the leadership of the school.

Our School has full Governor’s meeting termly with reports provided by the Head teacher and senior leaders

• Complaints and Appeals – Chair would be appointed.

Additional expertise form within our central team can be called upon for specific support – as requested for example specific Safeguarding advice  – Joanne Wright

In addition to the termly meetings – the school leaders have regular update meetings with individual members of the governing body, as below:
